We rarely win in the arena of ideas or on the merits of our arguments. We claim tolerance but are clearly intolerant. We exercise our First Amendment rights but harass others attempting to exercise theirs, (especially when they have a differing view-point). We restructure and revise our nation’s history and shout down the truth. We abhor labels but label those who oppose us, and we tend to personify what we rail against. We lecture on hate and violence but are often the greater offenders, behind the historical black mask of cowardice. We defend life when it suits our politics but slaughter the innocent in the name of “reproductive rights”, and we abandon our collective faith in favor of those who would destroy all of us in the name of theirs.
