Tariff’s and more tariffs…

Share

As the President has suggested, tariffs lead to negotiations, and worked very well as a bargaining mechanism during his first term. Frankly, and while there may be a bit of economic pain up front, I think the American people need to be aware of how badly prior administrations botched trade deals and the like, over many years, and with countries like Canada, Mexico and of course, China. Moreover, the sheer deficit numbers involved and how those numbers (and other issues) affect each individual American cannot be overstated.

So as you can already hear the democrat fools yacking about how bad tariffs are and how Trump is the devil personified, you might want to ask them, how in the hell did we get here, and who were the idiots who got us in this mess that Trump now has to get us out of. You might also want to ask them if they have any real solutions other than to continue the status-quo of passing more debt and turmoil to our posterity. For my part, I’d like to put our children’s country back on a solid financial footing, and know that America is seen as an equal trading partner, and not one to be abused like some giant cash cow ripe for the milking.

And lastly, Americans need to take a good hard look at their government’s role in all of this, from the negotiating table to our borders, and understand how badly it is all broken, as well as the monumental efforts it will now take to right the ship. Trump didn’t break it, but he’ll sure fix it, (if we let him).

NOTE: As of this writing, Mexican President Sheinbaum has already agreed to send 10,000 troops to the border, essentially pausing the tariffs immediately. Well, well…
